1991-1998 (10¢) Eagle and Shield Bulk Rate Coils

Billions of Eagle and Shield bulk rate coil stamps were produced during the 29¢ and 32¢ rate periods. The stamps had a nominal rate of 10¢, with the mailer paying the additional balance due at the time of mailing.

During the print run, the yellow "1" in fourth position became worn. The figure resembles a reverse gamma or an upper case T with the right bar missing, more than the number 1.

All seven possible plate number combinations for Scott 2602 var (any Annn1n plate number) are known with this variety.

There must have been a lot of production issues with plate A43335, as it is also the only plate number known imperforate (Scott 2602a).

The light blue dot to the right of the eagle's eye. above the wing, is a recurring variety on the shiny gum issue, plate number 22222.

The light blue dot below the shield is a recurring variety on the low gloss gum issue, plate number 33333.

Scott 2603a, imperforate error, plate numbers 11111 and, 22221. It is also known on plate number 22222.

Scott 2603b, tagged error, plate numbers 22221 and 22222. It is also known on plate number 11111.
