Postal Note stamps (1945)

These were issued in denominations from 1¢ to 9¢ and in tens from 10¢ to 90¢. Thus, only 2 stamps were required to make up any amount less than $1.00.

Proof images are from the certified plate proofs at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, now with the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum. The images are photographically cropped from larger multiples.
